All the screenshots below are from Windows 10. But the methods also work in Windows 8 & 7.

  1. Open with Notepad and delete the contents

1) On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key  and E at the same time. Then click on the address bar, copy & paste C:\Users into the box and press Enter.

2) Double-click on your Windows user namethe address bar. Then copy & paste \AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\SwReporter right after the address bar and press Enter.

(NO SPACE between user name and \AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\SwReporter)

3) Double-click on the number folder. Then right-click on software_reporter_tool and choose to open with Notepad.

4) Delete EVERYTHING inside and save the file.

3) Double-click on the number folder. Then right-click on software_reporter_tool and click Properties.

4) Click the Security tab > Advanced.

5) Click Disable inheritance.

6) Click Remove all inherited permissions from this object..

7) Click Apply > OK to save the changes.
