Solve PDF Is Not Opening in Chrome Easily!

Method 1: Disable the Use hardware acceleration when available feature in Chrome

1) Click the more options button  on the right top of Chrome. Then click Settings.

2) Scroll down to find and click Advanced.

3) Make sure Use hardware acceleration when available under the System catalog is unchecked.

4) Restart your Chrome and click the web pdf URL to see if it could be open.

Method 2: Check the PDF documents setting in your Chrome

When you’re clicking a web PDF URL to view the file, but the PDF is downloading instead of opening in Chrome. Follow these steps to check the PDF documents settings in Chrome:

1) Click the more options button  on your Chrome. Then click Settings.

2) Scroll down to find and click Advanced.

3) Click Content settings.

4) Scroll down to find and click PDF documents.

5) Make sure Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome is unchecked.

6) Restart your Chrome and click the web pdf URL to see if it could be open.

Method 3: Update your Chrome

If Chrome on your computer is not up-to-date, it would also cause this or another problem. Follow to update your Chrome.

1) Click the more options button  on your Chrome. Then click Help  About Google Chrome.

2) Your Chrome should then be updated automatically.

3) Restart your Chrome and click the web pdf URL to see if it could be open.
