Fix 1: Force restart your iPhone

Since many technical problems can be resolved by a restart, it never hurts to reboot your iPhone. Sometimes that’s enough to fix the iPhone screen flickering.

You can perform a hard reboot on your iPhone/iPad. Here’s what you need to do:

  • If you’re using iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, or iPhone X, follow these steps:
  1. Press and quickly release the Volume Up button,
  2. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button, then
  3. Press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.
  • If you’re using iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus:

Press and hold both the Side button and Volume Down button for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

  • If you’re using iPhone 6s and earlier:

Press and hold the Home button and Top button for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Check if your flickering screen works properly after restart.

Fix 2: Upgrade iOS software
