How to Screenshot on a Chromebook

Trying to take a screenshot on your Chromebook? It’s very easy. Just follow the step-by-step instructions below. And you’ll be able to capture the screen of your Chromebook easily.

There are three ways you can take a screenshot on your Chromebook:

Take a full screenshot

To capture everything on your Chromebook screen, press the Ctrl and Show windows keys on your keyboard at the same time.

Then you should be able to find the screenshot in your Downloads folder.

Take a partial screenshot

To capture a certain area of your Chromebook screen:

  1. On your keyboard, press the Ctrl, Shift and Show windows keys at the same time.

  2. Click and drag the area you want to capture.

The screenshot will be saved to the Downloads folder. You can find the image there.

Take a screenshot on a tablet

If you’re using a Chrome OS tablet, there is another way to take a full screenshot. To do so, just press the power button and the volume down button at the same time. This works like an Android device.
