How To Wash Your Hair Properly

I believe everyone knows how to wash your hair, but are you doing it in a proper way?

The TBS TV show “Before and after being taught” [?????????] in Japan has invited the hairstylist–Mr. Takayoshi Oba (????) who used to work for Emperor of Japan for almost 10 years.

The expert taught us how to wash your hair properly. I’ve tried the following steps several times, the effect is amazing! The amount of hair loss is reduced obviously and my hair becomes more shiny and silky. So I would like to share it with you.

How to wash your hair properly

  1. Wet your hair

Use a spray head to soak your hair for 2 to 3 minutes. This step aims to fully wet your hair and wash up some dust. After doing this, the foaming effect of the shampoo will be better.
NOTE: The temperature of the water is important. The optimum temperature is 38 ?. Water temperature above 40 ? could be too hot and cause your scalp inflammation.

  2. Wash your hair

Applying shampoo on the hair roots all over your head then insert your hands into your hair and shake it up and down slightly. Your hair will be covered by foam after 2 minutes. It’s because this movement sends air between the scalp and hair that help the foaming effect of shampoo.

  3. Scalp massage for 3 minutes

? Cover your ears with your fingers. Gently press the scalp with your fingertips.

? Bend the second join of the finger and press down from the second joint.

? Press like you’re drawing a circle. Do it as gently as you can. You can imagine you’re washing a peach.

NOTE: From your hairline to the top of the head, don’t miss any place of your scalp.

  4. Dry your hair

Don’t dry your hair in the wrong way! It will waste your previous efforts.
? Cover your hair with a towel and try to massage gently without rubbing your hair and scalp. The towel would absorb water at the same time.

? Start blowing your hair from the back of the head. It’s because, in order to protect the hair, we need to start from the place where you have the most hair.

? When 90% of your hair has blown to dry, turn the hairdryer into the cold air. The stratum corneum should shrink when blowing with cold air. This makes your hair shinier.

That’s it. Let’s compare the difference after using this way to wash your hair.

The right side is using Mr. Takayoshi Oba’s way to wash their hair.
